Public Sector Consultants was established in January 2000. Through the quality of our services we have established a reputation as a leading provider of interim finance managers and consultants to the public sector. We have seen significant growth which resulted in us winning 52nd place in the Sunday Times Virgin Atlantic Fast Track 100 league table.

We are very proud to have built a successful nationwide business from Chesterfield. Believe me we would not be based here for so long without very good reasons.

Our early years were in the Tapton Park Innovation Centre, an ideal location for new start up businesses. Our move into the current location reaffirmed our desire to continue to be Chesterfield based.

With excellent transport links, modern offices available to rent or purchase and people that are determined to shine it is undoubtedly an attractive place to be in business.

It is vital that the council is dedicated to continuous improvement of the business environment so that our people know they can settle and grow their careers in a thriving community.

We have approximately 100 consultants working for us at any one time and, over 200 satisfied clients. Whilst they are evenly divided between employees and associates, none of our consultants are working alone; our support staff deal with contractual and house keeping issues and our managers provide technical and professional support. 

Public Sector Consultants specialises in the provision of professional accountants who understand the intricacies of local government and NHS accounting; we are able to provide a full range of accounting services. We provide interim not permanent placements, many of our people have had successful careers in providing public services and, we do the ‘hands on’ work that others don’t want to do. 

Beyond Finance, we have experienced consultants with management expertise in other public sector service areas including Benefits, Education, Health & Social Services and in addition, we have provided both IT and HR support to clients. Quality, value for money and professionalism in all that we do (qvp) has been our aim since day one. Now that the Company is firmly established, we are looking at our next phase of development and we remain committed to growth in our 2 key markets, local government and health, providing a more diversified range of services.
