Established for over 25 years Dunston Lodge; a dog boarding kennels on the edge of Chesterfield|, has developed an enviable reputation for providing first class accommodation and care for dogs. The boarding facilities at Dunston Lodge, which come recommended by many local vets, are set in their own private woodlands and gardens, and purpose built for the comfort and security of dogs.

As well as boarding, Dunston Lodge offers a full range of dog grooming services, including clipping (for boarders and non-boarders); sells a wide selection of dog foods and accessories; and offers a collection and delivery service for dogs boarding with them.

Dunston Lodge is owned and managed by Richard and Julie Harrington. Julie says “Our customers are very loyal to us, while most are from the North Derbyshire/South Sheffield area, we also have customers from as far as London, Newcastle and Surrey. Dog owners have used our facilities while living here, then having got to know and trust us, continue to use us even when they’ve moved away. We also have customers coming to the area on holiday or to visit family, and bring their dog to stay here at Dunston Lodge, rather than using a kennels local to them.”

Originally from Newcastle Julie moved to Chesterfield 8 years ago. “I love living and running our business in Chesterfield and am very pleased to be involved in the Chesterfield Champions |scheme.
