North Derbyshire Manufacturing Business are invited to attend the Chesterfield Manufacturing and Engineering Forum at the Casa Hotel on the 26th April from 12.30 – 15.00
This event is organised by Destination Chesterfield with support from NatWest and United Cast Bars Ltd
There will be a 2 course lunch as well as a chance to discuss business with your colleagues in the sector.
The speakers for the event are:
Alan Lyons from the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC)
Alan will dicuss how the AMRC can work with firms in Chesterfield to overcome the skills and productivity challenges. Case studies on how the AMRC will be shared has worked with companies in terms of step-changes in and gains in productivity.
Alison Money from the Sheffield Innovation Programme
The Sheffield Innovation Programme (SIP) allows small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) from across the Sheffield City Region to access academic expertise from both of Sheffield’s universities. The programme provides funding for expertise and resources to support and develop your business growth through innovation.
The forum was launched to give the Manufacturing and Engineering sector a voice in Chesterfield and Destination Chesterfield wants to develop a programme of activity around awareness raising, interaction with schools and developing skills. Sheffield City Region and D2N2 LEP’s are always asking for Destination Chesterfield to feed into Growth, Skills and Funding plans. We want to ensure we represent the sectors views and this forum will help shape that.
Please note this event is only open to Manufacturing and engineering businesses located in Chesterfield and North Derbyshire, pre booking is required and any registrations from non-manufacturing businesses will be cancelled.
