Chesterfield and North Derbyshire Manufacturing Forum
North Derbyshire Manufacturing Businesses are invite to attend the Chesterfield Manufacturing and Engineering Forum at the Casa Hotel on the 16th November from 12.30pm – 2:30pm.
This invite only event organised by Destination Chesterfield with support from NatWest and United Cast Bars Ltd will welcome two guest speakers to discuss the latest trends in the manufacturing sector. The speakers for this years event include:
- Richard Hill, Head of Automotive & Manufacturing at Natwest
Richard is a prominent figurehead in the Automotive industry, having worked in the sector for over 25 years. His previous roles include Marketing Manager at Rover Group; Brand and Marketing Manager at BMW Financial Services and Group Sales Director at Manheim Europe.
Richard joined Lombard in 2005 as Head of Sales at Lombard Vehicle Management; and subsequently lead the Automotive Corporate Sectors team from 2010. He is now Head of the new Automotive and Manufacturing sector within NatWest. He continues to work closely with industry, representing the banking industry on the main UK Automotive Council, and leading the Access to Finance work stream.
- Sebastian Burnside, Senior Economist at RBS Group
Sebastian Burnside is a Senior Economist within RBS Economics and joined the bank in 2009. He leads the team that provides economic advice to the retail bank. His analysis of the UK economy and household sector helps ensure we manage our products to best reflect our customers’ needs.
Sebastian also leads on the economics of financial sector regulation. Before joining RBS Economics he worked for Ofcom, the communications regulator, and in consultancy. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and degrees from the London School of Economics and the University of Edinburgh.
There will be a 2 course lunch as well as a chance to discuss business with your colleagues in the sector.
The forum was launched to give the Manufacturing and Engineering sector a voice in Chesterfield and Destination Chesterfield wants to develop a programme of activity around awareness raising, interaction with schools and developing skills. Sheffield City Region and D2N2 LEP’s are asking Destination Chesterfield to feed into Growth, Skills and Funding plans. We want to ensure we represent the sectors views and this forum will help shape that.
Only open to manufacturing and engineering businesses.
