Rail Ale Festival

The Rail Ale Festival at Barrow Hill Roundhouse is a CAMRA approved beer festival with all the essential elements for an unforgettable experience, with over 250 real ales to choose from, as well as ciders, fruit wines and continental bottled beers and gluten free beer now available. There will also be steam and diesel locomotives on display.

Tickets include:

  • entry to the event
  • commemorative glass
  • programme

Live entertainment, hot food and sandwiches, steam train rides from 12 noon until 5pm and a free bus from Chesterfield Railway Station are also available and there is free parking onsite.Also, in a first ever link up with Rail Operations Group and Vintage Trains Barrow Hill are pleased to announce a very special train service into the Festival on Friday 19th and Saturday 20th May.  A top and tailed Class 37 and Class 47 will pick up passengers from Derby, Chesterfield and Sheffield before heading into the Festival for a few hours of beer tasting, live music and cider drinking.

Children may attend the Festival until 5pm on each day.  After 5pm this is an over 18s only event.
