Staveley Feast Events – June 2012

Celebrate the Staveley Feast with a great range of events this June.

Monday 4th June

Free Led Walk by Eric Brooks of Mastin Moor Walking for Health Group

Railway Day at Hollingwood Hub

Hollingwood Hub, Works Road, Hollingwood, Staveley, S43 2PF

To celebrate the 120th Birthday of the opening of the Staveley Works Station (now the Hollingwood Hub carpark).

Staveley History Society and the Great Central Railway Society present a collection of photographs.

10am – 4pm, free admission.

‘Railway Trip from Sheffield to Chesterfield’ talk by Keith Grainger with special reference to Staveley Works and Staveley Central Stations.

Lighting of Jubilee Beacon

Chesterfield Borough Council and Friends of Pools Brook Country Park event to celebrate the Queens Diamond Jubilee.

6pm – 8pm Children’s 1950’s Party – children are invited to dress up in 1950’s style, 8pm – 9.45pm musical entertainment, 9.55pm Councillor Chris Ludlow to signal the lighting of the beacon. Children’s Fair rides and game stalls; free climbing wall.
