The Queen’s Park Nest Box Challenge

As old trees are felled and houses renovated, nesting sites for birds that breed in holes are declining.

The Queen’s Park Nest Box Challenge gives you the opportunity to make your own nest box to take away for your garden or you can leave it for the organisers to put up in the park.

This free event, organised by Chesterfield Borough Council, takes place at Queen’s Park, outside North Lodge Café between 10am – 4pm.

Please note: this is an outdoor event and may be subject to weather. Please wear appropriate clothing and wrap up warm. Children should be accompanied by an adult.
