United Cast Bar (UK) announce planning approval to transform derelict land
United Cast Bar (UK) Ltd is pleased to announce the successful Planning Approval for the transformation of the derelict land adjacent to their current Spital Lane site. The project, managed and submitted on behalf of United Cast Bar (UK) by Chesterfield Town based architects Koyander Associates, was approved by Chesterfield Council Planning Committee at their recent meeting on Monday 9th January.
The site will be transformed in to new stocking area for the product, with additional parking for the growing workforce.
“The approval will lead to the transformation of the UK business. The support by Chesterfield Borough Council for our proposal allows the business to transform a former derelict site in to a useful asset. The new stock yard will free valuable internal space for the expansion of processing functions, allow the expansion of the business and support the creation of additional employment and success for the business”, commented Group Sales Director James Brand.
Cllr John Burrows, Leader of Chesterfield Borough Council said: “We’re delighted to hear that United Cast Bar are making this significant investment in the town. It’s a great opportunity that will see new jobs being created which all helps our local economy and future growth.”
