Chesterfield School Sport Partnership
The Chesterfield School Sport Partnership works with the schools across Chesterfield to develop opportunities for young people, aged 5-19 years, in Physical Education and Sport.
The partnerships is based at Brookfield Community School working on behalf of 8 secondary schools, 1 special school, 42 primary schools and Chesterfield College. The core work areas include Developing Physical Education and CPD opportunities in schools, Leadership and Volunteering Opportunities for young people, Talent Pathways including gifted and talented programmes and linking our young people to Sporting Clubs and opportunities in the community, Everyday Activities including lunchtime programmes and Change 4 Life health programmes, London 2012 Legacy, Competition and launching the new ‘School Games’ programme and developing local partnerships. Over the past 7 years the Chesterfield School Sport Partnership has made a significant difference to the lives of young people in Chesterfield through P.E. and Sport and continues to make a difference.
We believe P.E and sport can make a huge difference to the lives of young people, increasing attainment in school, self-esteem and confidence. We support and advocate this message to all the schools and hope this can make a difference to people choosing Chesterfield as a destination to settle.
