Chesterfield College Taster – Music Composition
If you’re passionate about music and interested in pursing music as a career then our music courses are for you. During this taster session you’ll get a taste of what studying music at college is all about.
In this virtual introductory session, you’ll learn what elements are required to compose a piece of music. You’ll also have the opportunity to create a piece of music from scratch.
You’ll be using music lab (free on Google – all you need is the internet – no download needed) to create a tune to a given theme, you’ll understand some of the basic elements of music composition and the important of group evaluation.
The aim of this short session is to give you an opportunity to understand the course a little more as well as having ago at making some digital music and leave with a basic understanding of some of the elements you need to consider when making music. If there is time we also might be able to as a group create some lyrics for our very own song.
