Christmas fun at Matlock Farm Park

Join in with all kinds of Christmas fun at Matlock Farm Park, featuring a Festive Village, Breakfast with Santa and more!

Matlock Farm Park will be decorated over the festive period with Christmas characters around the park to chatting with families. Of course, there’s all the animal and playtime fun of the farm park too!

Festive Village Santa Experience (pre-book only)

Santa, Mrs Claus and the cheeky elves will be bringing delights and surprises from the North Pole to thoroughly entertain you as you make your way around our Christmas Village!

First stop is Christmas craft making with Mrs Claus, to make special keepsakes to take home.

Next is a magical story telling experience for children with Chief Elf plus letter writing, so children can post their special Christmas letters in the north pole post box.

Then it’s time to meet the cheeky elves at the Naughty or Nice o’meter to find out where you sit on Santa’s list – how will the grown-ups do! Whilst having fun with the elves, there will also be time for hot chocolate too.

Finally, it’s time to see Santa Claus in his beautiful, cosy grotto so you can tell him all of your Christmas wishes. Children and adults receive a special gift too! Then it’s off to enjoy all the animal and playtime fun of the farm park.

Autism Friendly Santa Sessions (pre-book only)

Matlock Farm Park’s Autism Friendly Santa Experience offers a calmer, more relaxed experience at a pace suited to you. Let the team know prior to your visit and on the day how best to give you the most memorable experience.

Gently spoken Santa can either greet you in his low-lit Grotto, or come outside for a more relaxed chat. Santa can be seated at a distance in the Grotto or even sit on the floor rather than in his chair. Visiting Santa is a magical experience for everyone and everyone’s needs will be tailored to. Your loved one will also be able to select a gift of their choosing from Santa, with sensory items available.

There is a transition room with sensory items to provide you and your loved one a calm, safe and inviting atmosphere before or after you visit Santa. As well as this, you will also have the chance for a special one-to-one small animal petting session close by after seeing Santa.
