Corporate Social Responsibility Summit – East Midlands Chamber

teamwork achievement

As the East Midlands economy continues its recovery from the impacts of Covid-19, the importance of ‘growing back better’ carries additional significance.

Research from the Chamber suggests that while the number of businesses engaged in community activity (also known as Corporate Social Responsibility) is nearing two-thirds of its membership, there is still confusion over how to do this in a way that can maximise the impact for both the community and the business.

Businesses are also unclear over the different options available to them to engage with communities as well as how to link the benefits of this activity to their wider strategic objectives. Some businesses meanwhile remain undecided if community engagement is relevant to their organisations altogether.

On the day:

This session, which will see the launch new and unique research from the Chamber, is aimed at all leaders within business interested in how they can further their community activity while maximising the benefits of doing so. Through presentations and discussion the session will explore:

  • The different options and routes available for businesses wanting to engage with communities
  • How community activity can support the achievement of wider business goals
  • The link between responsible business and successful procurement
