Is your business ready to bounce back after the pandemic? These bite-sized online series by the University of Derby could be just what you need. These 90-minute sessions are led by Dr Fred Paterson, Associate Professor for Sustainable Business.
Sustainability is becoming increasingly important for all organisations, across all industries. A sustainable business is one that generates profit whilst improving societal and environmental conditions. Developing sustainability can help your organisation to become more efficient. It can also help organisations improve their reputation, reduce costs and create a platform for innovation.
In these sessions you will explore how successful suppliers of low carbon, green and pro-environmental goods and services enter the marketplace, succeed in supply chains and sustain their sustainable business offer through difficult times.
Dr. Fred Paterson will also provide a wealth of insight that marks out pro-environmental businesses that last, identifying various resources that can help along the way.
The aim is to help you develop a plan of action to move forward in your business and ask any questions you may have about the process.

Getting buy-in from the Board, Financial Director or shareholders is a common sticking point for sustainability initiatives. Creating a persuasive business case is an important first step. This session will provide a series of useful pointers to set you on your way.
Is your business leadership fit for the post-Covid future? – 27 August
In this session Dr Fred Paterson walks you through some of the latest thinking in business leadership and provides pointers to further reading and suggestions for practical activities that will help you become a better business leader.
