Mayoral Dinner

Each year Chesterfield Borough Council hosts a mayoral dinner to celebrate the election of the new mayor. For 2019/20 the Council will be extending the invite to a range of community and voluntary sector groups and the business community via the Chesterfield Champions network.

The Mayoral Dinner will be held at the Winding Wheel, 13 Holywell Street, Chesterfield, Derbyshire S41 7SA on 15 May 2019. The reception commences at 6.30pm for dinner at 7.30pm. At this function the dress code will be lounge suits.

There is a charge of £30.00 per person for the dinner. This will include one drink on arrival at the reception and one drink at the end of the meal for the Toast. There will also be a pay bar at this event and wine/ beer can be pre-ordered. Tickets can be bought individually or you can purchase tables for eight people.

Starter

Creamy leek, potato and mixed bean soup (v) Homemade creamy, smooth leek, potato and mixed bean soup, garnished with chives and served with sliced artisan bread and butter

Mains

Traditional roast beef Curls of roast beef served with a large ale Yorkshire pudding, ro asted thyme potatoes and drizzled with a reduced beef stock sauce served with dauphinoise potatoes and sautéed savoy cabbage and courgettes

Mushroom ‘en croute’ (v) Field mushroom filled with smoked cheddar, couscous and avocado, wrapped in filo pastry, oven baked and finished on lentils with chives, surrounded with a red pepper
and tomato sauce served with dauphinoise potatoes and sautéed savoy cabbage and courgettes

Dessert

White and dark chocolate mousse Swirls of homemade white and dark Belgi um chocolate mousse, drizzled with a berry coulis and topped with crunchy meringue

Tea and coffee

Freshly ground coffee or English Tea with wafer thin mints
