Mock Employment Tribunal- Hosted in Partnership Between BRM Solicitors and Hays
Following the abolition of Employment Tribunal fees in 2018, the number of claims made increased dramatically.
In 2020, many businesses have taken actions to restructure their workforce as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, which is likely to lead to a further increase in claims during the next year and beyond.
To help all parties understand what is involved with the Tribunal process BRM Solicitors and Hays will be delivering an interactive mock tribunal hosted online via GoToWebinar, where we will hear the case of unfair dismissal arising from a protected interest disclosure (whistle-blowing) in relation to a company’s actions concerning Covid-19 laws and restrictions.
Both sides will present their case in front of a Judge, as they would in a real-life Tribunal, and delegates will be given opportunity throughout proceedings to comment on what they have seen and heard.
As most tribunals are current being done by video we will also explain the basics of this as well.
The session will conclude with a general employment law update covering the key changes from the end of 2020 and what to expect during 2021.
