Spital Cemetery Tour: Changes to Chesterfield and Derbyshire Police over the years
On this tour you will ‘meet’ some of the many members of the police force who served in Chesterfield and Derbyshire and chose Spital Cemetery, newly opened in 1857, as their final resting place. Local Councillor Shirley Niblock will talk about the changes that have taken place over a century and a half and will enrich the tour with a few personal family stories.
Meet at the chapels which are a short walk from the Top Entrance. If you enter via the Bottom Entrance, follow the roadway uphill and it will take you to the chapels.
