The Bottom Line is a series of funded business events and clinics hosted by consultants from the Chesterfield Skills Brokerage Service, which offers free, tailored advice on skills and training for your team. Operational Efficiency – 10th February, Dunston Innovation Centre

 

  • Are you aware of the change to public procurement set to go live on the 24th of February 2025? Geoff Hibberd, Deputy Director of Commercial and Procurement at the University of Derby is set to discuss the new Procurement Act and how procurement is set to be streamlined for the future.

Realise Untapped Talent – 20th February, Dunston Innovation Centre

 

  • Using apprenticeships as a means of recruitment does not have to feel difficult or risky. Brendan Abbott from the University of Derby, will explain how. You will be shown the availability of funding, how to navigate and access it, and how to get set up as well as all the support you have available.

These events are organised by the Chesterfield Skills Brokerage Service University of Derby in partnership with Chesterfield Borough Council. The service is just one initiative which is benefiting from funding through the UKSPF, after Chesterfield Borough Council was successful in securing £2.6m from the Government. It funds initiatives up to April 2025, which are designed to improve life for local people and support local businesses.
