The evening of entertainment will look at the history of gin from its origins in Holland to the slums of 17th century England, why it became demonized in the 19th and 20th Centuries, right up to date with its versatile and interesting flavors.
Taken back to 1751, guests will be guided through Gin Lane by Mrs Ginny Stillage, a larger than life expert on all things Genever, who will go to all lengths to get her hands on the gin. As she walks you through the streets of London, various characters of Gin Lane will also regale their ghastly situation including a history of the spirit we have now grown to love.
The guests will enjoy tastings of three editions of Yorkshire Gin paired with a premium mixer, garnish and served in a glass skull jug.
Sharing boards of savory nibbles will also be provided. These can be made vegetarian/vegan upon request.
