Enscite Workshops for Automotive, Aerospace or Rail Suppliers

D2N2 Transport Equipment Manufacturing - Rail Sector

These free, upcoming online workshops are for small to medium sized enterprises (SMEs) that are part of the automotive, aerospace, rail sector or their supply chain.

These workshops are specifically designed to address current challenges and will support your business in gaining the tools and techniques needed to drive productivity, efficiency and growth. The sessions are delivered online and are suitable for all employees. 

 

Process and Value Stream Mapping

1 June, 10 – 11.30am
This workshop takes a closer look at process and operating system design. You will be introduced to techniques that form the basis of process design and improvement and examine key features of service processes within your own workplace. You will learn how to identify the bottlenecks that may be hindering the effectiveness and efficiency or your workflows.

Developing your USP and Selling to Businesses

2 June, 10am-12pm

Learn the tools and techniques to position your products and services in a way that will attract your ideal customers.

The Basics of Management Accounting

7 June, 10am – 12pm

Why is financial management important? What is the difference between financial accounting and management accounting? How does this fit in with planning and budgeting?
This session aims to demystify the jargon and the perceived complexity of the finance function in a business. We will consider the role of financial management tools and techniques to help with decision making.

Developing a Sustainable Supply Chain

8 June, 10am-11:30am

Businesses are under increasing pressure to create a supply chain that is considered sustainable for the environment, for society and for the economy. This workshop will highlight several key areas that organisations need to consider in the development of a sustainable supply chain strategy.

Exploring value and capitalising on opportunities in SMEs

10 June, 10am-12pm

There are many advantages to operating as a Small to Medium Sized Enterprise (SME) which are not always capitalised on. The objective of this session is to harness your strengths as a business, by challenging preconceptions and pushing the limits of your opportunities. You will leave with the direction needed to move forwards with your new ideas.

Building an effective B2B brand

17 June, 10am-12pm

Creating an appealing brand for your organisation is the key to attracting valuable customers. Join this workshop to discover why it is such a precious marketing asset and how you can develop your own B2B brand.

Further business support such as funding towards a graduate placement or 1:1 advice is also available through the Enscite programme and if you have a business that fits the criteria below, you may be able to access these additional benefits. For more information email enscite@derby.ac.uk

To qualify for Enscite support you need to:

· be part of the automotive, aerospace or rail sector supply chains

· be based in Derbyshire or Nottinghamshire (D2N2 region)

· have less than 250 employees

· be no more than 25% owned by a large company (i.e. a company that is not an SME)

· have a turnover less than 50 million euros and/or annual balance sheet less than 49 million euros

· not in any way related to the financial services secto
