North Derbyshire Radio

North Derbyshire Radio is a new local radio station serving the whole of North Derbyshire and the Peak District. Their presenters are well known to the communities they broadcast to and take pride in covering and talking about local events and issues that matter to the people of this great region.

The station is the home of Sean Goldsmith at Breakfast who has been waking up North Derbyshire for over a decade and is simply Mr North Derbyshire.

Playing a wide variety of music, the station also prides itself with providing local news and sports coverage alongside providing support for local community groups, charities and businesses across the region.

Service creator, Naz Premji, says:

“I spent many great years at Peak107/Peak FM after the people really welcomed me with open arms when I arrived in 2001. I’ve always had an affinity with the area and the people of North Derbyshire. With the help of some familiar faces and voices and some new ones too, I’m hoping we can bring truly local radio back to this very distinctive part of the country.”
