Chesterfield Canal

The Chesterfield Canal offers a peaceful retreat with beautiful countryside and plenty of wildlife to enjoy. Five miles of the canal have been restored between Chesterfield and Staveley. You can now enjoy regular trips on the Madeline from Hollingwood Hub or the John Varley II from Tapton Lock in Chesterfield.

The Canal hosts a variety of events throughout the year including concerts and a festival each June. The area is also very popular with walkers and cyclists. Find out walking information here and cycling information here.
