Shopping During Lockdown

You can still support local retailers during lockdown in Chesterfield.  Here are some ideas of businesses that are offering click and collect, online sales or are open as essential retailers.

If you’re unable to find your favourite retailer in this list, please ensure you contact them directly and check their availability in order to avoid disappointment.

Shop Indie will be trading online during lockdown. They are offering a click and collect service for customers to pick up orders from the shop on Tuesdays, Thursday and Saturdays 10am till 12pm.

The Pavement Centre During Lockdown

The Pavements Centre will remain open as normal throughout the lockdown however only stores selling essential goods will be open. The following shops will be open, these are subject to change. Please note that some have altered their opening hours:

  • Tesco – Open as normal
  • Greggs – Take away only 7am-3pm
  • Cashbrokers – 10am-2pm

  • Pound Bakery – 8:30am-2:30pm
  • The toilets in the Pavements Centre will remain open as normal.

Adorn Jewellers

Adorn will continue to sell their beautiful jewellery through the website and will offer free local delivery.

In addition, they host a ‘Friday Night Live’ on their Facebook page each week at 7pm.

Chesterfield Craft

Huckleberry Willow

The Huckleberry Willow shop itself will be closed from Thursday 5th November, but they will still be taking orders online.

They are also taking calls and emails from local customers and providing free delivery during the lockdown on orders £20+

Ingman’s Cobbler Footwear & Clothing

Ingman’s are offering a Click & Collect Service, virtual Shopping within the Burlington Street store, collection and Delivery of shoe repairs and delivery of any item sold within the store:

Marks & Spencer Chesterfield 

M&S Chesterfield will continue to trade as normal, other than having to close our Cafe and Customer Toilets in line with Government guidance.

They will continue to offer a Click & Collect service, and the Clothing / Food Hall departments will remain open throughout.

Pinewood Properties

The property sector have been given the green light to carry on working. Valuers and surveyors are still able to go into properties and assess then for condition and value so if people are still wanting to sell then Pinewood are still able to list.

Pro MUA & Beauty Training

Colleges and Education are to remain OPEN. Training at both Sheffield and Chesterfield centres will continue as usual. They have added extra Covid prevention measures, for the safe running of all classes. 

Scrivens Opticians & Hearing Care

Quinney’s Pet Supplies

Quinney’s Pet Supplies will remain OPEN during the lockdown period between 9am and 5pm Monday to Saturday inside the Market Hall. Access to the shop will be via the side entrance opposite Sorbo Lounge.

Their delivery service will be maintained throughout lockdown. They offer free local delivery on all large or heavy items.

Brampton Brewery will be offering a free home delivery service to the S40 – S44 postcode areas for bottled beers, mini kegs, bag in box beers etc.

If you need to visit us during the next 4 weeks then Eden Tyres and Servicing will still be there to help. All branches will be open normal hours with Covid secure measures in place:

Floor Depot

Access to the store will be on an appointment only basis. They are still able to undertake measures and provide samples to customers as well as taking orders and enquiries over the phone or by email. Floor fittings can go ahead, subject to social distancing measures and customer consent. Suppliers are continuing to deliver so they can still offer a number of services.

The farm shop will remain open as normal and will be offering contactless collection for those that wish to ring ahead with an order.

Northern Tea Merchants

Northern Tea Merchants Shop will remain open throughout lockdown. They will also be extending their Free Delivery service for those vulnerable customers who are shielding.

Unfortunately, the café will close on Thursday, until the government state that it is appropriate to reopen.

Peak Pharmacy will remain open during the new national lockdown. Staff ask that you continue to adhere to all current Coronavirus guidelines, including wearing a face covering if possible and maintaining physical distancing.

Salute Prosecco

Salute will be operating a click & collect or delivery service on gift boxes and Hampers.  Would be suitable as presents or thank you gifts from employers to their staff, even for Virtual events.

Each person involved in the event would receive a hamper and log into their virtual event with all their festive drinks and snacks. A sense of being together sharing the same experience, whilst being apart.
