SMH Group strengthens leadership team as business continues to grow
SMH Group has strengthened its leadership team with three senior appointments as the professional services firm continues to expand across Yorkshire and Derbyshire.
Graham Parker joins as Chief Operating Officer, Melanie Foster takes on the role of Chief Technology Officer, and Karen Arch joins as Chief People Officer.
The appointments will strengthen the Group’s operational, technology and people functions, supporting its continued growth and providing additional support for its client-facing teams.

Chesterfield cyber firm launches new way to tackle online security
Black Swan Cyber Security Solutions has created a new character called Glitch to help small businesses, schools and community organisations better understand online security risks.
Created by founder Kevin Walker, Glitch represents the everyday gaps and oversights that can lead to cyber security problems, from forgotten accounts and shared passwords to untested backups and suspicious emails.
Kevin, who has worked in IT for more than 30 years and supported organisations across Derbyshire for nearly two decades, said:
“Glitch gives us a different way to talk about it. He represents the sort of issues that crop up in real organisations every day, the old account nobody removed, the backup nobody tested, the alert everybody assumed somebody else was dealing with.
“The aim is to help people spot the gaps before criminals do.”
Glitch will feature in a series of images, explainers and awareness content produced by Black Swan Cyber Security Solutions, covering topics including password habits, email security, multi-factor authentication, unpatched systems, business email compromise and overlooked user accounts.
The content is designed to provide practical, plain-English guidance for organisations that may not have dedicated IT or cyber security teams.
Black Swan Cyber Security Solutions supports schools, small businesses, charities and care organisations, with a focus on practical and proportionate cyber security.
The business says Glitch will play an increasing role in its awareness work over the coming months, helping to communicate cyber security in a more relatable way from its Chesterfield base.
OxyClinic Wellness expands Chesterfield clinic and UK presence
OxyClinic Wellness is expanding its “Circle of Wellness”, bringing together a growing range of therapies focused on relaxation, recovery and everyday wellbeing.
Founded by James and Andrea Leary, the business began with a focus on oxygen therapy and has since grown into a wider wellness destination. Its Chesterfield clinic now offers Oxygen Therapy, Multi-Light Therapy, a Pelvic Health Chair and 4D Zero-Gravity Massage.
The therapies can be experienced individually or combined as part of a personalised wellness routine, depending on individual preferences.
Oxygen Therapy remains at the heart of the clinic, with a choice of seated, lie-down and easy-access chambers. Multi-Light Therapy offers red, near-infrared, blue and combined light settings, while the Pelvic Health Chair provides a non-invasive treatment using electromagnetic stimulation.
The clinic also offers a 4D Zero-Gravity Massage Chair, combining massage, heat, airbags, foot rollers and a reclining zero-gravity position.
OxyClinic Wellness is also preparing to introduce a full-body lymphatic drainage system in the coming weeks, adding another treatment to its growing range.

Chesterfield remains at the centre of the business, with its head office based in the town and its wider “Circle of Wellness” concept continuing to develop here.
