Win tickets to the atmospheric Rail Ale Festival
The annual Rail Ale Festival is one of Chesterfield’s most popular events, and this year marks its 25th birthday. To celebrate, we’ve teamed up with Barrow Hill Roundhouse to give eight lucky winners a pair of tickets to the event.
There are eight prizes in total. Each winner will receive one pair (2x) of tickets to one of the following:
- Rail Ale Rock Night with Flash – Thursday 15th May
- Rail Ale Festival* – Friday 16th May
- Rail Ale Festival* – Saturday 17th May
- Nashville @ The Roundhouse* – Sunday 18th May
*The Festival is a family-friendly event between 12noon and 6pm and children do not pay for entry. After 6pm the Festival is over 18s only.

Featuring four nights of amazing live music, an encyclopaedia of ales, and an electric atmosphere. It’s sure to be a must-do event this spring.
Some of the live performances include:
Thursday: Flash – Queen tribute band
Friday: Jungle Lion – 10-piece SKA and reggae band
Saturday: Lets ABBA Party – ABBA tribute band
Sunday: Nashville @ The Roundhouse – Various country music artists including Shania & Friends the Shania Twain tribute act
Of course it’s not just the music. To quench the thirst there will be over 400 real ales from around the country including many brewed locally in Derbyshire and South Yorkshire, a great range of ciders and craft beers, the hugely popular Rail Ale Gin Palace and a sprinkling of sparkle with the Prosecco & Wine bar.
And then there’s something for the train enthusiasts. Between 12pm and 5pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the popular Rail Ale trains will be running on the Roundhouse’s branch line for festival goers.

Eight winners will be drawn at random from all valid entries received by the closing date. Tickets will be allocated randomly to each winner. Winners cannot select which event they receive tickets for.
This prize can be collected or delivered from Barrow Hill Roundhouse.
