You can grab your Halloween crafts from ‘The Works’, spooky books from Waterstones and accessories and outfits from Wilkos, Primark and more.

Chesterfield FC are providing free school meals to those in need over the school holiday period to help families in need.

The Chesterfield Artisan Market takes place on Sunday 25th October and attracts the very finest artisan traders where you can sample many artisan foodie delights and purchase quirky, bespoke, original craft items and enjoy the sumptuous delights of the authentic street food court.

Family Fun over half term

Head on down to Matlock Farm Park over October Half Term for their best ever outdoor Halloween celebrations, including a spooky trail featuring some well known characters in an enchanted forest, a pumpkin patch, spell-making with witch wendolyn, the Great mummy wrap shuffle game and, of course, interactive fun with wonderful animal friends. Get the kids dressed up and join in the fun!

Take your little monsters to the Sitwell Arms Hotel Halloween , they have a Halloween Party on Friday 30th and Halloween Monster Brunch on the 31st.

Grab your broomsticks for a bewitchingly brilliant day out at spooky Bolsover Castle this Halloween half term. For those who dare to explore after dark, hear about tales of ghosts, supernatural sightings and horrors from history on a Bolsover Castle Ghost Tour!

Fun awaits your young ones, and those young at heart, this half-term with a host of activities in the Chatsworth farmyard and playground.  Alongside their usual fun budding artists can get stuck in to some spooky crafts. Live Entertainment this October Half Term in Chesterfield

The spine chilling thriller ‘Dead Certain’ is part of the Autumn Play Season at the Pomegranate Theatre from the 27th to the 31st October.

If you fancy a bit of comedy to lighten the mood don’t miss Lee Lard as Peter Kay in this hilarious tribute acting taking place at Van Dyk on the 24th October

There will be live music at Real Time Live over the Halloween weekend U2UK performing the ‘best of U2’ on the 30th October and you can enjoy a performance from Halloween Madam Hussein and Take The Seven on the 31st October.  The venue will be ghostly and fully dressed up for the night!
