Hurdler gets thumbs up for World Championships

Alicia Barrett has been selected for the IAAF World Junior Championships taking place from July 19 to 24 in Bydgoszcz, Poland.

The 100m hurdler, from Newbold, Chesterfield, is one of 16 athletes to have been chosen to represent Great Britain so far, with a further announcement expected.

Jo Summers, Team Leader for the British Junior team, said:-

“The team is looking good for Poland and there is still time for a few more athletes to step up and secure selection.”
