Local Business Woman Recognised in Awards

Melanie Ulyatt, Managing Director of One to One Support Services based in Hasland, has been recognised as a finalist in the Business Woman of the year category at the recent Enterprising Women in Business Awards, organised by East Midlands Chamber.

The timing of this event tied in with celebrations of International Women’s Day on Sunday 8th March 2015 – and a weekend during which Melanie also picked up the Inspirational Woman in Business Award at the Derby and Derbyshire Inspirational Women Awards 2015.

Speaking about her success, Melanie said: “It’s superb that women are now on the increase in senior roles both in the private & public sectors positions and being celebrated. I’m honoured and delighted to be in receipt of such recognition. Many women everywhere work hard and balance work/home demands and are often the unsung heroes in our communities.”

Melanie set-up One to One Support Services as a private care provider in 2006 and wanted to create an organisation that not only provided the very best service to clients but also encompassed a very strong work ethic.

The company also provides health & social care sector training to some 187 other care organisations at the One to One Training Academy and is considered as one of the leading domiciliary care providers in Derbyshire, and is still growing and picking up awards, along the way.
