Spireites remove booking fee

As a result of feedback from fans, the Spireites have removed the £1 booking fee for ticket purchases made online.

Ashley Carson, Chesterfield FC Director & Company Secretary, explains the decision:-

“Following recent comments made by fans to Chris Turner and I, we have taken the decision to remove the £1 booking fee on all website ticket purchases.

“The negative comments received are totally justified and although Toptix make a charge for ‘printing at home’, this will now be absorbed by the club.

“We would like to encourage fans to purchase tickets online. We have a very small ticket office team and we hope that this gesture helps.

“There will also be no increase on matchday tickets purchased via the internet on matchdays.”

This change will take effect from today and include the Sheffield United online ticket sales, which are going live this evening.
