Chesterfield venues recognised at Best Bar None Awards
More than 30 pubs, bars, clubs and restaurants have been recognised for helping make Chesterfield a safe and welcoming place to enjoy a night out at the 2026 Best Bar None Awards.
Held at the SMH Group Stadium on Wednesday, 8th July 2026, the annual awards celebrated 37 licensed venues from across our borough that achieved Best Bar None accreditation, recognising high standards of venue management and a commitment to safer socialising.
Restaurants were invited to take part for the first time this year, allowing even more hospitality businesses to demonstrate their commitment to creating positive experiences for customers.
Special awards were also presented on the night, with Dunston Hall named Overall Winner. Other category winners included La Dolce Vita Lambarelli’s (Best Restaurant), The Derby Tup (Best Tenanted Venue), Junction Bar (Best Independent Venue), Sorbo Lounge (Best Managed Venue) and Chandlers, which received the People’s Choice Award.
The Best Bar None scheme, launched in Chesterfield in 2024, is led by Chesterfield Borough Council in partnership with Best Bar None, Chesterfield Pubwatch and Derbyshire Constabulary. It encourages licensed venues to work together to promote responsible management and create a safe, enjoyable environment for residents and visitors.
Councillor Kate Sarvent, Chesterfield Borough Council’s Cabinet Member for Town Centres and Visitor Economy, said:
“We’re lucky to have so many great bars, restaurants, pubs and clubs across the town and it is really positive to see the number of accredited venues grow over the past 12 months.
“It was great to see them come together for the awards ceremony and celebrate their achievements. We will continue to highlight the work they are all doing to ensure Chesterfield remains a safe place for socialising.”
The evening also raised £1,045 for Ashgate Hospice through a charity raffle.
