Markham Vale Environment Centre is a purpose-built conference and training facility and is ideal to host training sessions, presentations or meetings with three rooms – all benefitting from natural light, air conditioning and moveable doors to allow flexibility of size and layouts.
Owned by Derbyshire County Council, the modern flagship business centre has 17 fully occupied units and 3 offices, all of which are let to small businesses.
The centre has free Wi-Fi and boasts green credentials including solar panels and rainwater harvesting. Projector, screens and flip charts are available in each room (included within price) There is passivist natural ventilation throughout.
Markham Vale Environment Centre is easy to reach from the M1 via the dedicated new junction 29a. The venue has ample free car parking on site as well as disabled access and facilities. There are also cycle lockers available and bus stops just outside. For those arriving by train, the centre is located within 5 miles of Chesterfield Railway Station with taxis arranged for delegates on request.
The foyer area is light, airy and comfortable and can be used for informal meetings, breakout sessions or coffee breaks. Refreshment stations are available in each room with excellent coffee, tea and water and catering is also available on request. On sunny days there is the option to sit outside in the fresh air with picnic benches situated around the beautiful gardens.
