The Peak District Highland Games are returning to Matlock Farm Park!

See the country’s leading strongmen and mighty strongwomen compete in this hugely popular event. Take a seat in the grandstand or settle onto rustic straw bales, ready for the action.

Entertainment

The flagship show, now going into its tenth year, features athletes participating in six demanding strength events.

Catch live entertainment at the arena during the opening ceremony parade and the lunchtime interval, with acts and performances to be announced.

But the fun doesn’t stop there. Away from the arena, visitors can soak up the festival atmosphere with delicious street food, artisan market and craft stalls, a Bradfield Brewery beer tent and a refreshing gin bar.

There are also wonderful animal activities to discover, like short children’s pony rides, small animal handling, and more.

There’s playtime fun too for the children, with the Enchanted Hamlet and Rainforest Indoor Play Centre.
