As North Derbyshire’s only acute hospital, which is responsible for the care and treatment of 400,000 people, working in partnership with other local organisations is really important to Chesterfield Royal.
As well as joining up with NHS and social care organisations to improve the care it provides, Chesterfield Royal Hospital also tries to support local business where it can.
The meals cooked on site in the hospital’s café for example are created with food that’s sourced within a fifty mile radius. It’s just one of the ways it can can help local businesses to grow and show people that it is proud to support local suppliers.
Chesterfield Royal is also North Derbyshire’s largest employer – there are more than 4,000 staff and 200 volunteers working at the hospital, in its GP surgeries, at its maternity bases and more.
