- Netherthorpe School
04/12/26: Year 9 careers drop down day. The school is looking for local employers to support by helping students explore real-world careers through practical workplace projects and tasks based on different roles within their organisation. Workshops can be delivered by the business’ team or by school staff using materials provided.
23/02/27: Sixth form parents evening – 3:30pm-6:30pm. The school is looking for a range of post 18 providers or employers to present during the event, providing any guidance or support to both students and their parents via a stall.
22/03/27: Year 7 careers drop down day. The school is looking for local employers to support by helping students explore real-world careers through practical workplace projects and tasks based on different roles within their organisation. Workshops can be delivered by the business’ team or by school staff using materials provided.
10/06/27: Year 12 careers drop down morning – 8:45am-12:30pm. The school invites a range of providers who would be willing to deliver a 30 minute presentation or workshop to a small group of students.
13/07/27: Year 8 careers drop down day. The school is looking for local employers to support by helping students explore real-world careers through practical workplace projects and tasks based on different roles within their organisation. Workshops can be delivered by the business’ team or by school staff using materials provided.
14/07/27: Year 10 and 12 mock interviews – 8:30am-3:10pm

How can you better engage with young people?
Track your progress in engaging with young people through an online self-assessment tool from Direct Education Business Partnership. It takes 25 minutes to complete. Afterwards, you can compare your business to industry peers and gain resources to help you improve.
Support is also available to connect with schools and colleges through the East Midlands Combined County Authority Careers Hub, including the opportunity to shape future careers by volunteering as an Enterprise Adviser.
