Celebrating the success of our Chesterfield Champions
We’re celebrating our Chesterfield Champions, recently recognised with prestigious regional and national awards for their creativity, innovation, and business excellence. From design and construction to law and engineering, these organisations are showcasing the talent and ambition that make Chesterfield such a vibrant place to live, work, and do business.
Dalton Roofing Ltd recognised at regional apprenticeship awards
One of our Chesterfield champions took home recognition at the Derbyshire & Nottinghamshire Apprenticeship Awards, held at The Village Hotel, Nottingham.
Phil Bramley, National World Group Editor for Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire, welcomed guests and highlighted “What makes apprentices unique is that they stand confidently in two different worlds — education and work — and in doing so, they are leading the way for businesses and building great careers for themselves. They’re showing us all that apprentices can rise to the very top, drive innovation, and strengthen our local economy.”
The event also supported the charity Base 51, which provides counselling, outreach, and safe spaces for vulnerable young people. A raffle raised £1,422.60 to aid their vital work.

Banner Jones shortlisted for Best Innovation at LawNet Awards 2025
Chesterfield law firm Banner Jones was shortlisted as a finalist in the Best Innovation category at the LawNet Awards 2025 for its fully digital conveyancing process. The firm uses AI-powered search reports, biometric ID checks, and interactive digital quote brochures to streamline transactions. This approach has reduced delays and improved client satisfaction. Handling over 3,500 conveyancing matters annually, Banner Jones has cut file opening times from days to minutes. Referral volumes have also risen by 33% in two years.
Banner Jones’ digital transformation reflects years of investment and a commitment to making legal services faster, more transparent, and client-focused.
Richard Joy, Head of Residential Property at Banner Jones, said: “We are incredibly proud to be recognised for our innovation in conveyancing.
“This shortlisting reflects years of investment, collaboration, and the hard work of our team. Our digital transformation has simplified a complex process for thousands of clients, and we remain committed to evolving our services to stay ahead of client needs and industry expectations.”
Simon Wright, CEO of Banner Jones, added: “Innovation is embedded in our culture, and this recognition highlights the strategic importance we place on delivering legal services that are faster, more transparent, and client-focused.
“Being shortlisted for the Best Innovation Award 2025 underlines our commitment to setting new standards in the legal sector.”
CMP Legal celebrate double ‘Team of the Year’ success
Co-founder and solicitor Anna Cattee said the awards mark a major milestone for the firm, founded just four years ago:
“We’ve worked on some transformative projects this year, and it’s incredibly rewarding to see that effort recognised. Our success is built on collaboration, integrity, and a shared commitment to excellence.”
CMP Legal’s success extends beyond the awards stage too. The firm has once again been featured in the Legal 500 – the only Chesterfield-based law firm to appear in the ‘Corporate and Commercial: Elsewhere in East Midlands’ category – earning praise for its “depth of knowledge and experience” and “commercially astute advice.”
“Being ranked again in the Legal 500 is a real honour,” added Anna. “We’re so proud of our team for their hard work and dedication.”
NeoDyne UK proudly received the Training Excellence Award
In just three months, the company became the fastest UK partner ever to achieve Schneider Electric’s Certified Alliance SI Partner status. This milestone highlights its commitment to technical expertise and forward-looking training.
NeoDyne’s engineers didn’t just meet the standard – they set a new one.
Seven NeoDyne engineers quickly completed four months of intensive training in:
-
Control Expert
-
SCADA & PLC Modernisation
-
ETAP
-
Cybersecurity
This award celebrates more than speed; it recognises NeoDyne’s dedication to continuous learning, partner engagement, and industry innovation. The company’s pursuit of excellence also includes earning AVEVA Technology Specialisation and Endorsed System Integrator status.
The impact of this achievement is already clear. NeoDyne’s Botley Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project demonstrates how the team applied Schneider Electric’s M580 PLC and SCADA systems to deliver real-time operational visibility and secure diagnostics for a 50MW renewable energy site.

DBCP’s Building Control Manager, David Pratt, praised the achievement as proof of the strength of DBCP’s apprenticeship programme and culture of excellence.
