See our market and town centre light up on Friday 27th and Saturday 28th March from 4pm – 8pm at the new Chesterfield Glow Up event.

What to expect

Experience a spectacular light show projected onto the Market Hall, created by internationally renowned projection art company Illuminos, as part of the Animate Chesterfield Programme.

Alongside the show, enjoy live music from local musicians, excellent street entertainers, free craft workshops, UV face painting, and a night market.

A giant 35m observation wheel will also be in New Square, and will stay in the Square for three weeks after the event. During Chesterfield Glow Up it will be joined by other fun fair rides including a classic carousel and vintage helter-skelter.

Visitors will be able to buy a selection of food and drink, with a Bus Bar in the main Market Square.

On Saturday, the music, market and funfair will be open from 12pm, with other elements starting at 4pm.

You can also expect free UV face painting, an exciting entertainment schedule and a night market.
