Chesterfield Foodbank
Chesterfield Foodbank is a community-led charity supporting people in crisis across Chesterfield and the surrounding areas. As part of the Trussell network, the organisation provides emergency food parcels alongside compassionate, practical support, advice and signposting to help local residents navigate financial hardship and build more stable futures.
Operating from multiple centres across the borough, including the Town Centre, Hasland, Brimington, Whittington Moor and Loundsley Green, Chesterfield Foodbank is powered by a large network of volunteers, partner agencies and local supporters who share a commitment to dignity, compassion and collaboration. The foodbank works closely with schools, businesses, healthcare services and faith & community groups to respond to local need while developing long-term solutions that reduce reliance on crisis support. The foodbank also provides a delivery service to Hope Valley to help combat rural poverty.
In addition to food provision, the organisation runs an expanding Support Hub, offering early help, financial inclusion advice and connections to specialist services. This preventative approach reflects the foodbank’s belief that strong communities are built through partnership and shared responsibility.
Jacqueline DeVeaux, Communications, Engagement and Funding Manager for Chesterfield Foodbank, said:
“Chesterfield is a place where people genuinely look out for one another. Being a Chesterfield Champion reflects the strength of local partnerships and the pride businesses take in supporting their community. Together, with our new CSR sponsorship opportunities, we can make a real difference to people facing hardship while helping Chesterfield remain a place where everyone feels welcome and supported.”
