Join this employer forum with Chesterfield Royal Hospital’s interns to show young people with special educational needs what local employers and pathways are available as well as important interview skills.
What to expect
This employer forum is an opportunity for interns to engage with local businesses and broaden their knowledge. During the event, interns can put all-important interview and conversation skills to the test.
Young people with special educational needs are able to be fully immersed in a variety of job roles to gain valuable workplace experience alongside competitive and transferable skills.
Interns can learn the range of employers in the local area, the different pathways available and how to confidently apply for jobs and attend interviews.
The forum will include:
- Short 10-minute employer talks about your organisation, roles or apprenticeship opportunities. As well as your personal career journey, share details about transferable skills and experiences.
- A small-group networking session. Interns can share their own skills and experiences, and also ask about job opportunities and pathways into work.
Refreshments will also be provided.
