Hardwick Wintertide

Come back and build memories at Hardwick once again. The season of Elizabethan magic will be here for Hardwick Wintertide!

This year, Hardwick Wintertide is brimming with holiday joy, twinkly lights, and the spirit of togetherness. Whether it’s exploring the handmade decorations by the Hardwick team, following the mischievous Lord of Misrule around the mansion, or interacting with the enchanting displays, this festive experience is crafted to bring smiles to everyone’s faces.

Installations and decorations

Marvel at the contemporary festive displays which highlight the very best of Elizabethan winter celebrations, from lavish banquets to the importance of gift giving.

Journey through the gardens and take a peek at the displays in the Cart Shed, South Gazebo and Apple Store.

Festive family fun

Watch out for the Lord of Misrule as he encourages foolishness and folly throughout the mansion and make sure you don’t get caught up in his mischief along the way…

Please note that last entry to the Hall is at 14.15.

Late night openings

Hardwick Wintertide after hours is truly a spectacular experience. Delight in a mulled wine in the gardens and enjoy seeing the mansion in a whole new light.
