Accepting your place as a finalist
Congratulations! Your establishment has been selected as a finalist for the Chesterfield High Street Awards. Please keep this information confidential until a press release has been released at www.chesterfield.co.uk. We will send everyone an email linking to the press release once live.
To find the winners, we will send mystery judges to visit each business (subject to change according to current Government guidance).
Finalists of the National and Independent categories will also be asked to complete an application form.
There is no fee for entering the Chesterfield High Street Awards, although businesses entering the Hair & Beauty category will be asked to provide a complimentary treatment (subject to change according to current Government guidance).
If you would like to be considered for an award, please read through the terms and conditions that relate to your category below and complete the form below to confirm your acceptance.
Winners will be announced via a virtual ceremony on the evening on Wednesday 21st October.

Terms & Conditions
One mystery judge will visit your venue prior to 21st October 2020 (dates to be confirmed, subject to Government guidance).
There is no fee for entering the Chesterfield High Street Awards, although businesses entering the Hair & Beauty category will be asked to provide a complimentary treatment.
Please complete the form below to accept your status as a finalist and to accept the terms and conditions associated with your category.
Hair & Beauty Business of the Year
- One mystery judge will visit your venue (dates to be confirmed, subject to Government guidance).
- The judge will be provided with a £30 voucher created by the Destination Chesterfield team to redeem on a treatment of their choice.
- Judges will be asked to make an appointment before attending, however they will not reveal themselves as a judge until payment with the voucher.
Best Town Centre Event
- The public has voted for this category and the winner will be selected based on the highest number of votes.
Future High Street Award
- The public has voted for this category and the winner will be selected based on the highest number of votes.
Market Trader of the Year
- The public has voted for this category and a visit has already taken place to find the winner.
National/Independent Retailer of the Year
- One mystery judge will visit your venue (dates to be confirmed, subject to Government guidance).
- You must also complete this application form by Monday 31st August 2020. If you accept your status as a finalist, but do not complete the application form, you will still remain a finalist, however your chances of winning will be significantly reduced.
Apprentice of the Year and Apprentice Employer of the Year
- If your business currently hires apprentices, or has done within the last 12 months, we also invite you to apply for the Apprentice Employer of the Year award. You can also nominate an apprentice for the Apprentice of the Year award. All other categories
- One mystery judge will visit your venue (dates to be confirmed, subject to Government guidance, there is no charge for this visit).
