Chesterfield businesses and learners encouraged to enter regional apprenticeship awards
Chesterfield businesses, apprentices and training providers are being encouraged to showcase their achievements by entering the Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Apprenticeship Awards 2026.
Now in its fifth year, the Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Apprenticeship Awards have become a leading celebration of the individuals, employers and training providers helping to develop the future workforce across the region.
Co-run by the Derbyshire Times, the annual awards recognise outstanding achievements across the apprenticeship landscape, highlighting the impact apprenticeships have on careers, businesses and the wider economy.
This year’s awards feature 14 categories, providing opportunities for apprentices at different stages of their journey, alongside employers, mentors and training providers who demonstrate excellence in supporting skills development and career progression.
The awards shine a spotlight on individuals building successful careers through apprenticeships, as well as organisations creating valuable opportunities for people to gain experience, develop new skills and progress in their chosen industries.
Successful nominees and winners will gain regional recognition for their achievements, while employers and training providers can demonstrate their commitment to investing in talent and supporting the workforce of the future.
David Dury, Degree Apprenticeship Manager at Nottingham Trent University, said:
“We believe apprenticeships are one of the most powerful ways to develop talent, strengthen organisations and create opportunities for individuals to thrive. We are delighted to sponsor the Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Apprenticeship Awards 2026 and to celebrate the exceptional apprentices, mentors and employers whose commitment to excellence is helping shape the future. Their achievements deserve recognition and we are honoured to play a part in showcasing their success.”
The awards programme has continued to grow year on year, reflecting the increasing importance of apprenticeships in supporting businesses, developing talent and strengthening local industries and communities.
Businesses, apprentices and training providers from Chesterfield and across the wider region are encouraged to submit nominations before the deadline.
Award categories are open to apprentices, employers, colleges and training providers. Dedicated awards also recognise employers and mentors who go above and beyond to support apprentice development.
