This event is organised by Junction Arts.

Join Junction Arts for the Bolsover Lantern Parade, one of the UK’s biggest and longest-running light processions. The parade comes to the town on Saturday 28th November.
What to expect
Established in 1994, the Bolsover Lantern Parade has lit up the town for three decades. Growing in size every year, there will be hundreds of lanterns in the procession, as well as thousands of people lining the streets to watch the amazing visual spectacle. Every year the event engages local Bolsover communities in the arts, and has inspired generations of local people to make this one of the most iconic light processions in the country.
The Bolsover Lantern Parade will start at Bolsover Castle, featuring community-made lanterns. Previous years have seen ingenious creations such as smoke breathing dragons, steam trains and giant character lanterns take centre stage in the parade!
With people coming together to create the inspiring lanterns at school and community workshops, their lanterns will join the parade on Saturday 28th November.
How to attend
Starting at Bolsover Castle at 4:00pm, the parade will travel through the town and culminate at the Cenotaph for Christmas carols.
It is a non-ticketed, free event, but Junction Arts welcomes donations to support the continuation of this magical and memorable event within the town.
