Chesterfield Pride
Chesterfield Pride is an award-winning LGBTQ+ event that welcomes everyone. Launched more than ten years ago, it has grown significantly and now attracts visitors not only from the local area but also from across the UK and beyond. Held at Stand Road, the event features two vibrant stages. The main stage showcases chart-topping artists, while the second stage offers a mix of emerging talent, comedy, and drag acts.
Alongside the entertainment, visitors can enjoy a bustling market area filled with stalls, artisan food vendors, bars, and fun fair rides. The continued success of the event has allowed the team to expand the site, and Chesterfield Pride now welcomes more than 2,000 visitors each year.
Organiser Dan Walker said the event plays an important role in the local community.
“Every year we receive messages from people sharing how much Chesterfield Pride means to them,” he said. “Our team is passionate about making a difference and bringing people together. We are a not-for-profit community event run by a small team of dedicated volunteers, and it’s fantastic to see people of all ages getting involved.
“Being a Chesterfield Champion highlights our commitment to putting the town on the map and bringing our community together to celebrate love, acceptance, and diversity. We’re proud of Chesterfield and proud to deliver an event that everyone can enjoy.”
