Derbyshire Building Control Partnership (DBCP)
Formed in 2017, DBCP is the result of the collaboration of six forward-thinking local authorities, including; Derby City Council, Chesterfield Borough Council, Derbyshire Dales District Council, North East Derbyshire District Council, Bolsover District Council and Amber Valley Borough Council. This collaboration has created the most effective and efficient service to deliver all the area’s building control requirements.
The DBCP team has long been at the heart of investment in Chesterfield – both commercial and residential, ensuring that all new construction, conversions, alterations and extensions are built to a minimum standard and meet certain health, safety and welfare standards. DBCP works to industry codes of conduct as well as these regulations to ensure that every project is fully compliant.
Based in Dunston Innovation Centre in Chesterfield, DBCP also has a further office in Derby enabling it to serve the entire Derbyshire region. Chesterfield provides an ideal base for DBCP’s team of surveyors, giving them easy access to road networks across the county.
Neil Johnson (right), Managing Director of DBCP comments: “We’ve come a long way since launching the business and we intend to go further. We’ve launched a brand new website with an online booking and payment facility as well as expanded the team with key appointments.”
“Bringing together separate teams from six Local Authorities to create DBCP could have been difficult, but every member of the team has risen to the challenge, and shown commitment and dedication to making us the very best; but we are always looking for new ways to further improve the services we provide.”
