Looking for a relaxing getaway to a hidden gem in the UK? Our recent competition gave one lucky winner the chance to enjoy a fantastic two-night stay in Chesterfield for two, including hotel accommodation and activities – worth over £580!
What was up for grabs:
- Two-night stay for two people in a Superior feature double room, including dinner and breakfast at Ringwood Hall Hotel and Spa
- Day ticket to Rail Ale Festival for two adults
- Afternoon Tea cruise along Chesterfield Canal for two adults
This was an opportunity to enjoy an unforgettable two-night getaway to Chesterfield, where heritage and charm meet modern comfort.
Guests would have stayed in style at the four-star Ringwood Hall Hotel & Spa in a Superior feature room, with a delicious breakfast and dinner included each day.
Then, they could have used their tickets to the Rail Ale Festival, one of the region’s most popular music and drinks events. With over 400 beers and ciders, gins, wines, and live entertainment, this four-day festival celebrates music from Madness, ABBA, the 1980s, and country
For a more tranquil experience, an Afternoon Tea cruise along the Chesterfield Canal offered a scenic journey through greenery, spotting local wildlife from ducks to kingfishers and deer.
And of course, Chesterfield itself has plenty to offer: explore independent shops in the newly regenerated town centre, admire the iconic Crooked Spire, stroll through Queen’s Park, relax at local coffee shops, or enjoy a delicious meal at one of the town’s many eateries.

1. Photography and promotion
By accepting the prize, the winner agrees to be photographed by Destination Chesterfield and grants permission for their image to be used in promotional materials, including social media, print, and digital marketing campaigns.
2. Social media sharing (optional)
We kindly ask that the winner tags @ChesterfieldUK, the venue, and/or the relevant prize provider in any photos or videos they choose to share publicly during or after their trip. This is entirely optional and not a condition of entry or prize redemption.
By tagging us or any prize partners, you grant permission for your content to be re-shared on our official channels, with appropriate credit.
3. Eligibility
Entrants must reside within a 20 mile radius of Crawley (postcode: RH10 1JA) or Leeds (postcode: LS1 4DY)
4. Prize redemption
The stay and all associated prizes must be redeemed and completed from 14th – 17th May 2026. Bookings are subject to availability, and blackout dates may apply.
