Chesterfield College inspires futures and changes lives by offering 100s of courses in a range of subjects and levels designed to help people and businesses reach their full potential.
The college offers a vibrant place of learning for over 7,500 full and part time further and higher education students every year. From entry level to Higher Education, and from technical and professional courses to academic courses like A levels, there is something for everyone.
As part of the wider Chesterfield College group, Learning Unlimited offers over 70 different quality apprenticeships in everything from digital media to engineering. These start at an intermediate level and go all the way up to degree-equivalent qualifications. Working with over 2,000 employers across the UK, 97% have seen a direct benefit of employing an apprentice. Learning Unlimited also offers workforce training and skill development and is a recommended partner of the £17m Sheffield City Region Skills Bank funded training initiative.
The college prides itself on working closely with local employers to ensure the courses they offer meet the demands of the local economy and enable students to get meaningful work experience to enhance their employability.
Stuart Cutforth, Principal of Chesterfield College, says:
“Chesterfield College is at the heart of the local community. We are training the next generation of people who will help to make this town thrive. It is fantastic to work with local employers who share our vision of inspiring futures and changing lives by investing in developing the skills of our students.”
With its own restaurant, travel agent, hair and beauty salon, and gym, students can get real experiences of working in a live business under the watchful eye of their tutors who all come with industry expertise.
Chesterfield College students achieve good results and sing the praises of the support mechanisms in place to help them get where they want to be.
The college offers a fantastic choice for people considering the next steps after school, those returning to education to retrain to enhance their career, or people simply wanting to learn a new hobby.
