This year, the Chesterfield Santa Fun Run is supporting Ashgate Hospice.
Organised by Cannon Events since 2016, the Chesterfield Santa Fun Run features two races with participants dressed in Santa suits, running around the park.
What to expect
This year’s Santa Fun Run will take place on Sunday, 21st December in Queen’s Park Chesterfield.
The 1.5k is 3.5 laps around the cricket pitch.
The 5k starts with a lap of the Cricket pitch, then just over 4 laps on the outer path of the park.
Both races finish in front of the cricket pavilion.
Run start times are:
- 10:15am for the 1.5k, with a warm up session at 10:00am
- 10:45am for the 5k, with a warm up session at 10:30am
Each finisher will receive a commemorative medal along with Christmas chocolates or sweets.
Entry fees and how to join
There is a limit of 700 entries and no entries will be accepted on the day. The deadline for entries is 1:00pm on 19th December or until the capacity is reached.
- Adult aged 16+ – £14 with Santa Suit (£10 without)
- Children aged 11-15 – £9 with Santa Suit (£5 without)
- Children aged up to 10 – £7 with Santa Suit (£3 without)
Entries can include a Santa suit, or you can provide your own.
For those who book a space, Santa Suits will be available to collect prior to race day, from Ashgate Hospice Furniture Store, Unit 91, Storforth Lane Trading Estate, Hasland, Chesterfield, S41 0QD – see your entry details for more information.
Entrants providing their own Santa suit can collect their race number from the cricket pavillion at Queen’s Park at 9:00am on the race day.
Additional information
No finish line timings will be recorded – competitors should record on their own device if they’d like to track their time.
