Meet the Ghosts of Staveley Hall

The present Hall was built in 1604 and has seen Civil War and involvement in the Gun Powder plot.
It became a Rectory in 1756 and remained so until 1967 when it was part of the government buildings of Chesterfield, during a reshuffle in 1974. The Staveley Town Council bought it.
Now you can explore the chambers of this beautifully restored building and the St John the Baptist Church next door, and of course the underground storerooms and cellars. But be careful, not all of the old residents have left…
