StraightCurves beginners’ sewing machine skills classes
This beginners’ sewing machine skills course has been designed to help you master a sewing machine! From the basics of threading up, through to hems and French seams, you’ll leave feeling confident in your sewing abilities!
This course is run over 3 sessions to ensure that you have mastered the basics thoroughly and will not forget which is your presser foot or your stitch selector when you try to carry on crafting at home. We are passionate about you leaving this course able to use a machine independently and then if you wish to develop your skills further we have a variety of courses that follow on from dressmaking to patchwork cushions.
This course is designed for those with no knowledge of how to use a sewing machine or sewing.
The minimum age for this workshop is 14 – children under 18 must be accompanied by adults at all times. If you have a younger child who would like to learn to sew, then our Young Sewer’s Course is for them!
