Soresby Street Café

Chef Jamie Shorrocks owns Soresby Street Café. Jamie has 20 years of experience as a chef in Bakewell, at Piedaniels, and opened Soresby Street in 2024 in a bid to create a food and drink hub for the local community. He is keen to keep “on trend and try new things”.

Jamie grew up in Chesterfield, and it was therefore an easy decision to invest in the town centre. The local community support local cafes, which means he gets regulars and friendly faces who trust him with their morning coffee.

Soresby Street Café is proud to be a Chesterfield Champion and part of the expanding food and drink scene in Chesterfield, which is continuously evolving.

“Having grown up in the area, it was an easy decision to invest here – it’s home. The food and drink scene is growing, which is great for creativity”

Jamie employs two young adults, whom he has trained and developed within the business. Both have a genuine enthusiasm for learning and are eager to take on new challenges.

The Soresby Street menu includes delicious breakfast, brunch and lunch items, ranging from smashed avocado and poached eggs to buttermilk pancakes with yoghurt and  blueberries, to a great selection of ciabattas, homemade quiches and much more!
