The DCAS mission statement is: ‘Supporting young people to unlock their potential through the creative arts. Encouraging each person to succeed. Providing inspirational activities in a unique and welcoming environment.’

Donut Creative Arts Studio (DCAS) is a youth arts facility in Chesterfield which offers evening workshops and sessions in music and art for young people aged 11 to 19 years.

The art work that was created for the exhibition comes from thoughts and feelings within the young people at DCAS, all based around the theme of the past present and future.

The ArtBox group meets every Thursday during term time and works on a wide range of creative arts workshops, projects and sessions. Last year the group were invited to create an art exhibition for the Chesterfield Art gallery.

“Due to the Covid-19 outbreak, and following Government guidance, we have made the decision to postpone or cancel all performances at the Winding Wheel and Pomegranate Theatres up to and including May 2.”

“Chesterfield Museum, the Visitor Information Centre, Hasland Village Hall and the Assembly Rooms will also be closed until further notice.”
