This Photography for your Business Workshop aims to help local business learn how to use photography to enhance their marketing techniques.
Good photography is an important tool when it comes to promoting your business. Done well, photography has the ability to explain your brand, services, products and people in a direct and plausible way. It can help you connect to your customer base, and to bring to life to your business.
Most customers want to get to know a business before making a purchase and photography is one of the tools at your disposal.
This workshop will help you to get the best out of your photography and will have a practical element so please bring your charged phone or camera with you. It will begin with and overview of business photography and an introduction to setting and planning a brief.
The course will cover how to:
- Transform your photography using composition and subject position.
- Selective focusing to add impact and focus the eye
- Using lead in lines
- Framing
- The rule of thirds
It will also cover shooting corporate portraits and cover:
- Lighting
- Background
- Positioning your subject
There will be an introduction to free and paid for desktop and mobile apps to enhance your images. This will include:
- Cropping for better composition
- Improving, brightness, contrast and colour balance
- Saving and sizing your photographs for the web
